For my technical description assignment, I described the structure and operation of a lithium-ion battery. The purpose of the assignment was to explain a technical system clearly to a specific audience. My intended audience was first-year engineering students who have a basic understanding of science but may not be familiar with battery technology. In the description, I explained the major components of the battery, including the anode, cathode, electrolyte, separator, and current collectors, as well as the charging and discharging processes.

After receiving instructor feedback, I revised the paper to improve sentence variety, reduce repetition, and strengthen the connections between different components of the battery system. I also integrated the figure more directly into the explanation by referring to specific processes shown in the diagram. In addition, I improved transitions between sections and made some sentences more concise and easier to follow. These revisions helped make the description clearer, more organized, and more effective for the intended audience.
